FREE CPR training for the Community

Defibrilator use and training

Part of the volunteer team at the Power of Women festival March in Ellington Park Ramsgate.

Community Lifesavers provides free CPR and defibrillator training sessions for groups of six or more participants. They are currently focusing on the Thanet area of East Kent, which includes Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, and the surrounding communities.

Each session lasts one hour and includes a brief presentation and demonstration by volunteer team members. Afterward, participants have the opportunity to practice these lifesaving skills themselves.

Birchington Veterans-association members.

Promoting this lifesaving skill rather than a first aid course is key to spreading this easy-to-learn skill to as many people as possible. The sessions have been run from private homes, or we can work with your group to find a suitable venue.

The groups can be as large as 30 or more if needed. Some of our community groups have included Westgate and Birchington Golf Club, The Smugglers Restaurant in Birchington, Courts Pharmacy, Westbrook Bowling Club, Birchington WI, Kingsgate Squash Club, Rotary Club of Margate, Rotary Club of Sandwich, Thanet Business Network, Birchington Veterans Society and more…

"A huge thank-you to this fabulous group of volunteers who are helping to spread life-saving skills to the community. Our members all got to learn how to use defibrillators."
